We spent the evening doing absolutely nothing: I built a fire, she made us Top Ramen, we watched a movie, and now she’s casually rehearsing for her audition this Saturday.  Fate has cursed her with a small cold, but I’m helping her with whatever I can – Flonase, warm honey water, and by leaving the room when she’s really belting it out.  Eventually, I’ll convince her to record her practice sessions – it’s really the only way to learn.  Sing into a mic, record it, and listen to what comes out the other end – it’s often quite enlightening.

I think I’m gunna chill out for a bit, and just listen.

We’ve got a busy day today: buying flowers, getting Athena a dress, setting up party trays, getting ice, setting up the bar…. you get the idea – a ton of stuff to do.
