I’ve processed an album of photos from my last Yosemite trip, in April.

f0llis, my uncle, and I hiked the 4 Mile Trail (it’s actually 4.6 miles) from the valley floor to Glacier Point, across a closed section of trail. In this closed section, f0llis got his first taste of rope-less life-or-death mountaineering. Unfortunately, I didn’t stop to take a photo, but still. Some good black and white shots, and a decent panorama from an atypical angle of Yosemite.

I’ve completed 8 of 24 classroom hours towards my EMT recert. That’s 1/3 of the class requirements. If I had to, I could probably pass the final exam right now, no problem.

Unfortunately, since I made the mistake of getting promoted to supervisor last year (@ burning man, not @ apple), I had no opportunity to practice my skills last summer. Needless to say, I’ll be seeking out a qualified buddy to drill me on my skillz.

I have 9.5 more skills on which to test my proficiency. So far, I’ve only tested on adult/child foreign body airway obstruction with CPR (which is a part of a larger skill; I need to test on an infant, as well, and get a new CPR cert).

I’ve got til the end of June to finish this out. Unfortunately, I’ve also got WWDC in June to prepare for. Could be an interesting month of balancing many different priorities.

When this is all over, we’re going out for beers and merriment!~

drinks were had. phones were stolen. Girls were drunk dailed (sorry about that.. ). Hot Fuzz was viewed. Hookah was had.

Hilarity ensued. Overall, last night was awesome.

i regularly work 9-12 hour days.
i very nearly failed a relatively simple EMT skill test tonight (I’ve been an EMT for nearly 4 years).
i rarely get to bed before 1am. i’m up at 7am.
i recently met an awesome girl who wants me to visit. in another state. miles and miles away.

i miss that feeling.

i have more work work to do than can be imagined. none of which i can talk about with anyone outside my team. no, not even my mother.
i have to renew my EMT cert by July.
i attend EMT class whenever possible - after work. at least once a week. for 3 hours.
i don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel until July - at which point it will all probably start over again.
i haven’t been to the city in a month.

you could say i’m a bit stressed.

now this is damn cool.
