And, its done.
The master CD has been mailed to cafepress, who is doing my short run CD production. I only say short run because I have no expectations to sell 1000 CDs. If that happens, I’m sure cafepress would be more than happy, as would I, and next time, I’d use discmakers.com. Anyway… I just spent the night reading and popping out guitar sketches like I was an artist or something. Its cool to think, after a month of hectic, borderline-annoying recording sessions (not that the people I was with were annoying, just that fact that the CD still wasn’t done…), I still have the creative energy to come up with really neat sounding jams.
So, for my next act, I would say expect more acoustic sounding guitar jams, with mild backing, and some raw vocals (I like to do shit with feeling, and trying to record songs over and over again on my last CD took alot of the feeling outa them, which makes me sad). I plan to use a full drum kit on MOST of the songs (Noah, up for another album sometime later?).
Oh, and I’d like to debut some of the new jams at my release party which will happen sometime next quarter (i’m gunna say first weekend, and thank God in advance that the CDs will be there on time).
Damn, this rules. Welcome to the start of an awesome career.
